Celebrating Technology Staff 2026

From March 2-6, the Minnetonka Schools community is celebrating the impactful work of our technology team through Technology Staff Appreciation Week! Our technology team plays a vital role in creating seamless, engaging learning environments, ensuring that devices, programs, and networks run smoothly for students and staff every day.

Julie Roderick is a district field technician for Minnetonka Schools. “As a district field technician and education project specialist, my role is to support district staff with hardware support across various platforms while performing routine maintenance and repairs to desktops, laptops, sound fields, projectors, SMART Boards and panels,” explained Roderick. “I am also involved in planning and coordinating project plans for technology projects. I have been with the district for 18 years.”

Roderick, along with 13 other technology staff members, supports technology solutions across the entire school district. “Every day is different and you never know what that day will bring,” continued Roderick. “My favorite part of the job is the variety and the 'detective work' involved in troubleshooting. I enjoy meeting and learning from staff from many different buildings and helping them support their students." Roderick loves being around students' energy and creativity, and she noted that witnessing the personal growth and learning students develop as they progress toward graduation is another personal highlight of her role.

Technology staff are an essential part of Minnetonka Public Schools. This week, make sure to thank these staff members for all the work that they do to keep our district connected and moving forward!
