Students ina group raise hands overhead on stage; overlaid with logo that reads Monty Python's Spamalot

This spring, Minnetonka Theatre is excited to present Monty Python’s Spamalot, a wildly funny retelling of the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, with a brilliantly irreverent twist.

Spamalot both celebrates and spoofs the grand tradition of Broadway musicals, complete with glittering production numbers, catchy songs, and nonstop comedy. You don’t need to be a Monty Python fan, or even a musical lover, to enjoy this show. Spamalot has something for everyone and is two hours of pure joy,” said Director Trent Boyum.  “Our students have embraced its bold humor and big energy, and they can’t wait to bring this wonderfully wacky adventure to life on stage!

About Monty Python’s Spamalot
It’s just a flesh wound! Monty Python’s Spamalot, lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table and features an exuberant high-kicking chorus, not to mention rabbits and cows.

Bursting with unforgettable songs, absurd humor, and zany characters, this musical is a rollicking celebration of all things Monty Python. The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and its success continued with two West End runs and recent Broadway and London revivals.

With its laugh-out-loud moments and unforgettable anthem “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” Spamalot is a gloriously entertaining journey that will leave audiences in stitches from start to finish.

This spring, the inaugural class of Minnetonka High School VANTAGE Fashion students collaborated with the school’s Best Buddies program to host the first “Redefining the Runway” fashion show. The event was a fundraiser for the Best Buddies Minnetonka Chapter, a club that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
