Arts Center on 7 Main Stage

Minnetonka Public Schools is pleased to announce it has named Madison Grimsbo as Event Manager/Technical Specialist for the Arts Center on 7, which is located inside Minnetonka High School, where the incredible Minnetonka Theatre holds its productions. She will begin this role on January 5.

Grimsbo brings more than eight years of experience to this key role for the Arts Center on 7. For the past three years, Grimsbo has held the role of Technical Director for the Marine Band San Diego in California. There, she has managed a seven-person technical team, supporting the technical, lighting and video needs for a wide variety of live, high-profile events. She has also served as Social Media Specialist for the Marine Band San Diego, leading a team in producing digital content to support the band and helping to draw crowds for the band’s off-base concerts. Prior to that, she served for four years as Technician for the University of Minnesota’s Student Center.

In her role with the Arts Center on 7, Grimsbo will be responsible for the overall technical operations of the performing arts center and of the general technical support for all Minnetonka High School theater productions. She will manage the Arts Center student interns as they facilitate a wide variety of events. She will coordinate the technical needs for fine arts performances and District-led meetings and events, and she will coordinate and serve as site manager for all outside rental user groups of the arts center. Additionally, Grimsbo will be responsible for the operations and upkeep of the arts center’s lighting and sound equipment.

“Madison is bright, creative and incredibly knowledgeable on how best to support the kind of technical needs we have in the Arts Center,” said Trent Boyum, Artistic Director. “She is committed to excellence, to supporting students in their academic and co-curricular pursuits, and to being part of a strong, capable, and collaborative group of professionals. We are thrilled to have her join our already amazing team.”

Grimsbo earned her bachelor’s degree in theater arts from the University of Minnesota-Morris. She also completed a Live Production Technician Course at the Naval School of Music. Grimsbo is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. She served in active duty from November 2022 through December 2025.
