This November, Minnetonka Schools is celebrating National School Psychology Week! Dr. Joann Vitztum-Komanecki has been a school psychologist serving the Minnetonka Public Schools community for the past twelve years. 

For her, the best part of her job is the students. “I love it when I pop into a classroom and a student asks me, 'Do I get to work with you today?'” she shared. "I enjoy the opportunity to connect directly with students when engaged in assessment, supporting and collaborating with colleagues when engaged in intervention and support planning, connecting with families when addressing student needs, and being involved in professional development activities."

She notes that school psychologists "are trained for both breadth and depth in the field of education, and it's great to be able to utilize this broad skillset to support students, educators and families alike."  To Dr. Vitztum-Komanecki and all of Minnetonka's school psychologists, thank you for the important work you do in our community!
